EL DORADO — Join seal repair work and marking will close sections of El Dorado Airport’s runways.

Tentatively work on the 15/33 runway is scheduled to start the week of April 10 a week after the pre-construction meeting the first week in April of the Airport Board where a “Notice to proceed” document is on the agenda to be signed.

The project will close the 15/33 runway for a month. Airport users will need to utilize runway 4/22 during that time. Both runways will have to be closed for five days while the runway intersection is repair and painted. Pilots will be alerted to that time period as construction progresses along with the official start date of the project. Look for announcements through Notam and AWOS.
