EL DORADO – The Butler Rural Electric Cooperative has selected August 11th at the date for their upcoming open house, on a new headquarters building that has been in the works for over a year. The company broke ground on the facility in September 2016.

The Building will be a single story 9,700 square foot office space that will house the company’s main headquarters with 29 staff, and serve as a headquarters for Regional Energy Group.

At the groundbreaking, CEO Dale Short said building a new office space became necessary after the company’s current office, built in the 1950’s developed foundation issues.

“We are very excited about the new building,” Short said at the time. “Our Co-op continues to see growth and the new office building will allow us more room for that growth in the coming years.”

The current office building on South Vine is being transitioned into warehouse space.
