Circle cross country tops Wamego meet

WAMEGO — The Circle boys cross country team clocked another first place finishing in Wamego.

Both men’s and women’s teams competed against 20 other teams where the Thunderbirds placed second for the second year in a row. The girls placed seventh overall at the tournament.

The boys were led by Eli Jacobson who placed fifth. Rounding out the boys’ team scores were Emmitt Keller seventh, Avery Stuever 14th, Ryan Derry 18th, Bryson Schoenhoffer and Corbin Tandy 36th.

Girls were led by Kelsie Kelly who placed eighth. Kristin Horyna placed 23rd, Emma Willour 53rd, Alyssa Fullington 54th, and Kat Webb 64th.
