EL DORADO — Molly Denton is now the face of El Dorado Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
Denton took over for Jennifer Cook, who left in the beginning of June. Since then she’s put three large scale events under her belt with a action packed fall ahead.
“I’m loving it, especially with all these big events that have been happening,” Denton said. “It’s been exhausting but exhilarating. Last weekend was a great weekend in El Dorado.”
This week Denton is tackling the Butler County 4-H fair. Upcoming is Frontier Days, the Lantern Fest and October Fest.
Denton said there were around 15,000 people in attendance at Dam Music Fest at El Dorado State Lake and another 5,000 or 6,000 in town for the Shrine Bowl at BG Veteran’s Product Stadium Saturday. Both she said received high ratings and positive feedback.
“My new title is community marketing manager,” Denton said. “I’ll be focusing on showcasing all the community events and to help be the voice for those events so everyone knows what’s going on and the community has to offer. With even more big events upcoming, I want to make the city a great visitor destination.”
