Billie Shaw

Billie’s life began on July 18, 1922 in Ralston, OK. She is the daughter of John E. and Daisy A. (Mc Spadden) Morris. Billie is a graduate from Fairfax High School in Oklahoma. She was united in marriage to Ralph Shaw on June 1, 1946 in Fairfax, OK. She was a homemaker. Billie enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting as well as sewing traditional Osage ribbon work with her family. She was a member of the Needle Nuts sewing club.

Her greatest joy was her family which includes her children Jackie (Lloyd) Thomas of Towanda and Terry (Carl) Scates of Newton; grandchildren Stephanie (Ron) Scrivner of Augusta, Laurie ( Joe) Keaton of Peck, Racheal (Bryant) Pate of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Zach (Kelly) Lindsey of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Kodi Scates of Burns; great grandchildren Randy, Jessie, Billy, Emma, Seth, Grant, Tara, Chance, Kylie, Bentley, and Breken ; and seven great great grandchildren. Billie passed away on January 6, 2018 at Lakepoint in El Dorado.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, and siblings Audrey, Opal and Johnnie. Billie’s family will gather with friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be on Wednesday 2 p.m. at the Carlson Colonial Chapel led by Pastor Tom Boerma and grandson Zach Lindsey. Billie will be laid to rest in Towanda Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Butler County Fire District Number 9.
