Phillip Earl Hamilton’s life began on November 4, 1941 in Wichita, KS the son of Earl and Thelma (Greeves) Miller. Phil graduated from North High School in Wichita. He was united in marriage to Rowena F. Roetto on June 10, 1960 in Wichita. Phil is the founder and former owner of Phil Hamilton Heating and Air Conditioning in Wichita, KS which was started in 1978. Phil was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed collecting antlers. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He could eat like no other and especially enjoyed BBQ, fried chicken and turkey legs at Thanksgiving.
Phil passed away on November 11, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. His loving family includes his sons Brent (Nancy) Hamilton of Andover, Bryce (Brenda) Hamilton of Wichita; daughter Shari Hatch (John) of Belle Plaine; 8 grandchildren; 9 greatgrandchildren; stepmother Eleanor Miller; sisters Kathy Hanna, Beverly Cox, Cheryl Fallis, and Sandy Devlin. He is preceded in death by his wife Rowena, his parents and stepfather Cecil Hamilton.
Friends may gather with the family from 9-10am on Friday, November 17 at Carlson Funeral Home where his funeral service will be held at 10am. He will be laid to rest at Blankenship Cemetery in Rosalia. Memorial contributions in Phil’s name may be directed to Know Your Bible or The Susan B. Allen Cancer Center of El Dorado
