WICHITA, Kan. – Zach Margolis has joined the Wichita State strength and conditioning staff as the assistant strength and conditioning coach it was announced Friday morning.
Margolis will oversee women’s basketball, volleyball, softball, women’s tennis and women’s golf for the Shockers. He comes to Wichita State after spending the last year as the head strength and conditioning coach at Cal State-Stanislaus. He was the school’s first dedicated strength coach where he oversaw all 14 varsity sports.
Prior to Cal State-Stanislaus, Margolis was the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Northern Colorado for five years before being promoted to Director of Sport Performance for Olympic sports. He was responsible for the planning and implementation of the physical development programs for men’s and women’s basketball, women’s volleyball, baseball, wrestling, and women’s swim and dive. Additionally, Margolis oversaw the staff and intern education program.
Margolis graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in May 2008. He then received his Master’s degree in May 2011 with an emphasis in sport science and nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin.
