Wichita Independent Business Association awarded Butler Community College $10,000 to distribute between 10 scholarship recipients either employed or interning with local businesses.
Mayor Jeff Longwell and Ray Frederick, president of WIBA presented the check to Stacy Cofer, Vice President of Advancement.
Four students so far have been chosen for awards are interning or working for Koch-Glitsch, High Touch Technologies, Midnight Ryder Technologies and FlightSafety.
“We are so proud and pleased that WIBA can partner to assist with strengthening our community,” Frederick said in a press release. “This starts with each of us recognizing the mature talent already here in the area.”
